IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF SHARPS/NEEDLES
There was an incident today regarding the collection of trash. A trash bag contained one or more needles/syringes and the trash collector was stuck by one of the needles. Because of this, he will now have to go through a series of tests and will have to take antibiotics as a result of this incident.
Redgate will take sharps/needles, but they must be disposed of in the correct manner.
PLEASE DISPOSE OF NEEDLES/SYRINGES AND OTHER TYPES OF SHARPS PROPERLY: Place them in a rigid plastic container such as an empty laundry detergent jug, an empty bleach jug or plastic coffee container. Secure the lid with duct tape. Mark the outside of the container as SHARPS (or NEEDLES) and set the container beside your trash. Do not put them in your trash can or in a trash bag.
We appreciate you disposing of sharps in the correct manner to avoid future injury to anyone.
