Law bookThe Municipal Court of the City of Weston Missouri is a subdivision of the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of the State of Missouri, and acts as the Court of original jurisdiction in all cases involving violations against the Ordinances of the City of Weston Missouri, as set forth in the Revised Statutes of the State of Missouri, Chapter 479.

Court Convenes :

Weston Municipal Court is held on the first Monday of every month beginning sharply at 7 PM.

If the first Monday falls on a holiday, Court will be held on the next day (Tuesday).

Traffic Citations, Summons, Continuances and Warrants :

Your traffic summons requires you to appear in person in court on the date written at the top of the ticket; UNLESS you wish to plead guilty in writing and pay your fine and costs by MAIL or in person before your court date.

Only those violations indicated on the return envelope, given to you by the officer when you received the ticket, may be paid in advance or by mail. Follow the instructions on the return envelope to make your payment in advance. You must appear in court if you were involved in an accident, or for the following offences:

Speeding (25 miles or more over limit)

Careless & Imprudent Driving (C&I)

Driving While Intoxicated (DWI or DUI)

Driving While Under Suspension or Revocation (DWS/DWR)

Leaving Scene of Accident

Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Responsibility (no proof of insurance)

Other Traffic Offenses

Animal Code Violations

Other Municipal Code Violations

If you must attend court, the court docket is called promptly at 7:00 P.M.

You must appear on the date listed on your citation(s) or summons.

If you are charged with no insurance/failure to provide proof or no valid license and you have the required documentation, be prepared to submit that in court.

The Court Clerk is allowed to grant one continuance. Attorneys must enter their appearance by faxing an "entry of appearance" to the court clerk, and may be granted two plea docket continuances.

Failure to appear on your court date or pay a fine as ordered may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest and/or your drivers license being suspended by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
